Sharwood's Indian Cooking Sauces

Heat Up Your Kitchen With Sharwood’s Cooking Sauces

When you think of summer, what do you think of? Heading to the beach? Taking a vacation? No school? A few months til Christmas? Haha ok, ok, don’t shoot the messenger!

When I think of summer, I think of heat and not just temperature. I LOVE spicy food! My fiance is one of those people who believe that summer cooking means out of the kitchen and onto the BBQ. I admit, meals on the BBQ are a must-have in the summer but I also like to mix things up from time to time. I like to spice up my kitchen with different foods and tastes.

I was recently introduced to the yumminess of Sharwood’s Indian Cooking Sauces, one of the UK’s most popular brands that is quickly heating up Canadian kitchens.

I typically like to make my sauces from scratch but let’s not kid ourselves here, I’m a busy mom and sometimes you just have to find convenient ways to have authentic dishes.

My experience with canned or jarred sauces, they typically don’t have a lot of flavour or texture. The Sharwood’s Madras Cooking Sauce is fully flavoured, bold, delicious and fiery – perfect for this lover of spicy foods! Being that it was my first time trying the sauce I wanted to keep it basic, I didn’t want to mask any of the flavours in the sauce, so I just sautéed some chicken, poured the sauce on and let it simmer!

Doesn’t it look divine? I honestly wish I could capture the smell and taste to post it for you! I was quite happy with the sauce because if you look closely, you can see the actual bits of onions and tomatoes that are in the sauce. No dried onion powders etc, just authentic ingredients. This particular sauce was too hot for my toddler son and school aged nephew though, so be mindful of that if you are serving it at a family meal.

Sharwood’s Cooking Sauces will definitely become a part of my pantry stash, learn more about the product on their website at www.sharwoods.com.

  1. I have never tried these as I don’t like a lot of the premade sauces but from your review it sounds like they might be worth checking out! Thanks 🙂

  2. I think I have tried their sauces once. Thanks for the reminder of how good it was. We like Indian food and it is time to spice things up here.
