Household Spring Cleaning is Underway #PGMom #Giveaway

As the season changes from winter to spring, the transition usually results in additional dust, sand, grit and grime all over the house. Well, at least in my house it does!

Think about all of that ON TOP of your regular household tasks! Such fun right? It just means a really good spring cleaning is in order.

Not only are we cleaning, but we are purging items as well. Sometimes as you remove those extra couches and tables to give away those little dust bunny families become exposed!

As a #PGMom, I am so fortunate to be able to have a good supply of a variety of products to assist me with cleaning my house.  The majority of the cleaning items and tools I have used for years happen to be P&G brand name items, long before I became a PGMom. Yay P&G!

Part of my cleaning repertoire now includes a Swiffer Wetjet! I’ve always owned Swiffer dry mops so I was very excited to use the WetJet for the first time. I had a ton of fun unboxing it along with all of the other great P&G  spring cleaning products. Check out my lil hyperlapse video!

I used the regular floor cleaner that came with the Wetjet but as you can see I have hardwood floors and I found that that after cleaning the floor I was expecting some shine. I think it makes sense for us to get the wood cleaning solution next time.

As shown in my many Instagram photos, my kitchen is in a constant state of “messy”. Nope, I’m not proud, but hey folks, I live in a house with 3 children haha!

Dawn and Cascade are my go-to products for the dishes, and Bounty is right there to dry it all up!

  1. out with the old! Closets and drawers get purged first, then it’s dust and move all the furniture to get the baseboards and beneath things all vacuumed….

  5. I clean one room at a time! Usually on a nice, warm, sunny day, so the windows can be opened and the comforters, curtains, blinds and such can be put out on the clothesline to dry!

  6. We don’t have a routine to it, but we empty out all the dressers/closets & donate what no longer fits. Wash drapes & blinds, vacuum the mattresses, discard clutter & papers. We basically clean all the stuff that is rarely dusted or washed.

  7. I like to start by cleaning the smallest rooms first, one room at a time. I know people say to do the biggest room first but i like the smaller ones so I feel some accomplishment along the way encouraging me to tackle more. I also get all the windows opened up and cleaned and air out the house and do the blinds etc.

  8. We start with the big jobs…just in case we don’t get to the little jobs and often clean the windows first to let the sunshine in while the rest of the cleaning gets done.

  9. I love Spring cleaning! I tackle one room at a time! Mattress get turned, curtains and walls get washed and a donation pile gets started. Sometimes it feels overwhelming but the end result is worth it! Amazing giveaway!

  10. We don’t really have a ritual. We do try to do a more thorough clean in the spring like cleaning the windows.

  11. One day at a time. I only do small “bites” of chores, ie) only the bathroom, then only the hall closet etc. Because i get burned out and overwhelmed. But I like to chart it on a list, then I feel like I have achieved something big!

  12. I can only handle one area at a time… like one bank of drawers is one day. The hall closet is one day. Washing down the bathroom one day… you get the idea!

  13. I start with all the vents and fans in the house and wash the walls and curtains as well all the light fixtures with the doors open getting some much needed fresh air flowing though out the house.

  14. I do one room at a time, starting at the ceiling and working down. I usually start early so I can have it done before the nice weather arrives.

  15. Make a to do list, open windows to freshen up the house and tackle on item/room at a time. We are slowly getting there.

  16. Its chaos! Mass moving of furniture and appliances to clean underneath, dust in hard to reach spots, disinfect everything…ahhh!!

  17. On the first nice warm day, I open all the windows and take down all the curtains and wash them. That is the beginning of my spring cleaning week.

  18. I tackle one room at a time and I start it when the weather’s warm enough to open the windows for fresh air.

  19. errr.I try to do one room at a time,,and feel accomplished when I finally get something done!.lol

  20. We always clean one room a weekend and from top to bottom. Everyone is involved. The kids go through their toys and purge.

  21. My spring cleaning starts by making a list and then trying to accomplish 2 cleaning jobs a day – thanks!

  22. I just try to get through one room at a time, mostly because it feels like I never finish all the rooms before I have to restart the process… lol

  23. I clean one room at a time start at the top work my way down , cleaning blinds and window curtains , ceiling fan, scrub walls etc 🙂 love when its sunny so i can open the windows for fresh air , thanks for the chance 🙂

  24. I’m choosing Sunshine’s method this year!! We usually tackle a couple of larger items each weekend day, so it takes us about 3 weeks to complete. Really need to get our windows done first.

  25. I open up all the windows and let the fresh air in. Clean from the top of the house down. Bathroom,Bedrooms then Living Room,Kitchen and the other Bathroom.

  26. Slow and steady is usually the case with me when it comes to spring cleaning. I write down the jobs to be done and cross them off as I accomplish each task.

  27. Clean EVERYTHING from top to bottom, ceiling fans, walls, etc. Even the car, and dogs, gets their thorough cleaning! 🙂

  28. I wait for a nice day. Open the windows. Take a room and take all the bedding and curtains wash and hang outside. It is also a good time to turn the mattress and get it aired out also. Clean each room top to bottom.

  29. It has begun…open all the windows and get some fresh air in…all the curtains and blinds come down, windows washed then dusting the corners and ceiling fans…uughh what a job!

  30. Spring cleaning involves opening windows and dusting, I just clean and tidy when we feel like it

  31. I wait until it is warm enough to open the windows. Then I make up a schedule and check list and tackle each room at a time and put everything I plan to toss or donate in the basement. I then tackle the basement last.

  32. I start on the top floor and do each room from top to bottom and then work my way down to the basement. Declutter, clean, then organize.

  33. Spring cleaning process: 1) discuss with husband whether house is clean enough. 2) Hire teenager from the neighbourhood to come in 3) Pay in cash, go out for the day and revel in clean house!
