Inner Journey: The thirteen short stories interpreted by the viewer’s inner eye.
Roger Sutherland was born in the French-speaking city of St. Boniface in 1951. In ’89, he started painting wildlife and prairie landscapes. He experimented with painting on plywood, Masonite, paper and canvas using various methods of painting. Over time his painting style evolved into abstract painting that allows him to enjoy the freedom to express concepts and emotion. In the 1980’s Sutherland met several prairie artists that influenced and encouraged him. These artists are: Roger Lafreniere, Hubert Theroux, Guy St. Goddard, Peter Dumans, and Geno Mazze.
Currently he is a self-employed carpenter, renovator, and abstract artist living in Winnipeg.
