Held annually on the last weekend of May, Doors Open Winnipeg is a FREE city-wide celebration of Winnipeg’s distinct spaces, outstanding architecture and vibrant history.
Explore Manitoba’s rich electrical history from the 1880’s to now. Located in a 1931 substation still active today the Manitoba Electrical Museum & Education Centre houses a large collection of electrical artifacts, archival photographs, documents and interactive educational displays that help tell the story of hydroelectric development in Manitoba. Interactive exhibits include a replica streetcar from 1909 and a towering robot made of over 50 household appliances.
