It’s Time For Spring Break in Winnipeg!
Spring Break in Winnipeg, Manitoba is Monday March 27th, 2017 to Friday March 31st, 2017 inclusive.
Some parents may be taking their children on a travel vacation during the week while other parents are staying close to home and looking for local ideas.
FYI: If you are heading to the US or Mexico for the week, be sure to check out Roam Mobility, grab a prepaid SIM Card and save on those roaming fees! And of course don’t forget the amazing last minute deals on Expedia.ca and Hotels.com
Luckily for you, this will be the 3rd year in a row (let’s call it tradition now), I have curated a list of things to do for Spring Break in Winnipeg. Â I even categorized them for ya! Most of the items are repeats from the previous year(s) but with up to date details. Â Some have been removed because they are no longer available and there are some new activities as well. If you know of an event, camp or activity to add, please leave it in the comment section for other readers, or email me and I will update the list.
p.s. As a parent, I know it can be financially challenging trying to figure out what to do with your kiddies during spring break, so this year I’m also hosting a giveaway! Check it out at the end of this post! #SpringBreakWpg

WISHING YOU ALL A FABULOUS SPRING BREAK WEEK!
I don’t think I’ve done anything in Winnipeg on Spring Break, unless maybe go shopping with my mom. that’s always fun
Going on a little staycation, and staying at a hotel in the city and going swimming in the hotel pool,, shopping and getting pizza delivered! We love doing this at least two times a year! So much fun.
My favourite Spring Break memory is going to spend the week with my grandparents in the country and going to their friends farms.
Opening up the family cottage with my grandparents always happened during spring break!
Traveling to go see my family down south and on the west coast!
Going to visit family, and having sleepovers.
Oxford Learning (3025 Ness Avenue) is offering free study skills seminars and an intensive 15 hour Math Camp ($450) over the spring Break. The website https://www.oxfordlearning.com/locations/winnipeg-tutoring/ has the relevant information under “What’s New”
Spending time with my family and neighbourhood friends!!
Playing board games with my siblings
Having sleepovers with friends!
No school!
A few years ago we had a HUGE Family Reunion, it was crazy meeting so many relatives that I didn’t know!
My favorite memory of Spring Break is when I was a teenager and spent that week at my friends place. We did lots of avtivities with her and her mom, going to the opera, dinner out, trip to the states. It was a really nice time.
Swimming at the City pools!
My spring break memory was of my sister and I spending time out at my cousin’s place in the country. So much fresh air, freedom to roam around and the best home-cooked meals by my aunt. We used to play hide and seek, build outdoor forts, loved our pajama parties, telling scary ghost stories & the good treats my aunt made.
Memories are something that can never be taken away, they live in your mind and surface every so often to bring us some comfort & joy from the past.
Thanks PegCityLovely for the chance.
My favourite memory is going to gymnastics camp during spring break with my friends. We were so into the sport as kids and it was fun to be with my friends in the gym the whole week.
Couldn’t afford a vacation so a staycation is it! Visiting the zoo, mini golf, movies and plenty of other places in Winnipeg
Most memorable spring break – our family spent several days filling sandbags in preparation for the expected flooding that year (1997) – we live along the Seine River.
My birthday is on March 21st. So some years my birthday falls during spring break. One year when my birthday fell during spring break I remember my Mom taking us out to the farm for my party. We had bon fires, went on ‘hikes’ with snow shoes and had many of my ‘city friends’ help feed any of the animals which they had never done before. As much as it was memorable to me it was also memorable to them too. It wasn’t expensive and created some of the best memories!
Sleeping in!
My favorite spring break memory is going downhill skiing at Falcon Lake.
Both of my daughters birth, my grandsons birth and now the pending birth of my granddaughter
I love that my sons birthday falls at the beginning of spring break. So we sort of celebrate all week. Thanks to your list we have lots of options.
my favourite memory is having sleepovers with my cousins , ,it was always so much fun , looking forward to my kids having them with my nieces , i’ll take them to the movies or the forks maybe the zoo if its nice out , like my mom used to do for us 🙂
We will be doing a few of these things this break for sure! Thanks for the list.
I loved going to the museum. I lived close by so I loved going there especially for Spring break.
I remember hanging out at the zoo and shopping at the Forks!
Thanks for the options!
We love the Forks, including the Children’s Museum, but especially the boat ride.
I remember participating in curling bonspiels, loads of fun.
