GroupBook is in the business of making your digital photos come to life through high quality Photobooks, calendars, greeting cards, and other photo products.  They cater not only to your personal side but your business profile as well with professional brochures, address labels, business cards, flyers and presentation folders, offered under their Business Services.

I couldn’t wait to try making a Photobook for myself.  I had seen them at a few friends’ homes and always thought it was such a cool idea.  It seemed only natural to work with GroupBook for this review.

Before I begin, I must say, the hardest part of the entire process for me was deciding which photos to choose for my Photobook.   I decided that I would capture all of the roadtrips we had taken as a family in the past 4 years!  I know, crazy eh?  I took about 600 photos and whittled them down to about 150 in order to make my Photobook, as you can imagine it was quite time consuming!

First Step: Choose Your Product (in my case Photobooks)

Once you’ve chosen your size and style ofP, the next step is to customize your book.  I opted for a softcover Photobook.  Softcovers allow for more pages of photos and hardcovers start with a minimum of 20 pages.

Second and Final Step: Customize

This step will take the bulk of  time  to complete as this is where you get to be creative!  Choose your theme, upload your photos, add backgrounds and enhance your Photobook with text and/or clipart.

That’s all there is to it!  Once you’ve customized, you are ready to preview it and add it to your shopping cart!

Here are a few pages from my personal Photobook!

Overall the site is very easy to navigate and the customer service is superb. One unique feature that I plan on trying for my next GroupBook project is Collaborate.  This feature allows you to start a project and share it with others so that they can log in and work on it with you!  How awesome is that? A great example for this feature would be a large group of siblings who live in multiple provinces/states, each of them could log in and add their own photos to create a family keepsake for their parents without having to travel!

GroupBook always has great deals on their Facebook page and you can learn tips and tricks on their Blog!  For those readers who live in Winnipeg, drop by their location and check out their samples!  Oh and guess what?  GroupBook recently started a referral program! Refer 3 friends and get a 50% off discount on your order. The friends you refer get 25% off too! Pretty fabulous!

My Photobook sits prominently on the coffee table in our great room for all to see. Everyone who’s come by in the past month has loved looking through our roadtrip memories!  Why not share your memories too!?

  3. That's such a hard decision because I have all my photo's plus most of my folks'. Pictures of their business history? All my sisters weddings? My boys? Hunting & fishing photo's? My high school friends? ……

  4. This is awesome ! I would create a photo book of mine and my hubby's honeymoon.. Sadly, all out pictures are still on the digital camera.
