I have always had a special appreciation for charitable giving and supporting those who depend on charitable organizations. There are several charitable organizations that are just a part of my family now, as several diseases have affected some of my family members.
A special Cross-Canada bike tour will be making a stop in Manitoba September 23 – 27. 2013
Craig Aucoin of Pictou, Nova Scotia and his training partner Lloyd McLean are embarking on an 85-day, 8,200-kilometre journey, cycling from St. John’s, NL to Victoria, BC on a unique, tandem recumbent bicycle – the only one of its kind in Canada.
Craig was always an active child and led a healthy lifestyle until he was struck with a disease that devastated his eyesight. He is now on a cross-Canada bike tour to help support the agencies that have helped him to cope with losing his eyesight: 1) CNIB, 2) YMCA and 3) Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind.
