It’s not often that my son wants to help me around the house instead of playing hockey or soccer. Thanks to a new “toy” he’s right beside me helping every chance he gets!

We recently received the Fisher Price Smart Stages Vacuum to review. My son was pretty ecstatic to open the package and see what it could do!
Smart Stages Vacuum – age 12-36 months ($29.99)
It’s clean-up time – with a push-along Vacuum that encourages baby to learn through real-world role-play, and features three light-up shape buttons that help teach baby about colours, shapes and letters. Parents manually change the level for content updates.
My son is definitely at the latter stage of development for this vacuum, in height and in content. He knows the colours, shapes and letters on the vacuum after only having it for a short time period. His favourite part about this vacuum is the fact that he can mimic how he sees Mommy using the big vacuum. He’s hilarious to watch as he vacuums not only the floor but anything else he can find!
He also loves the real life sounds that it makes. I’m sure he’s glad it’s not as loud as the real vacuum. It’s so fun to watch him switch the buttons off and on though. Check out our lil video!
The one downside we noted is that it doesn’t stand upright like a real vacuum, so we end up laying it down wherever. If it was able to stand upright it would be easier for my son to put it away when he’s finished playing with it.
Regardless, I’m thankful that Fisher Price invests a lot of time and effort into their products:
