There is no denying the sights, sounds and smells of New Orleans when you attend Winnipeg Mardi Gras (#wpgmardigras) at the RBC Convention Centre Feb 13 and Feb 14, 2015.
Last year, not only did I attend the media preview I also went to the event itself. It was a perfect date night with our bff’s/neighbours! Judging by the pics we took, I’d say we had a blast, wouldn’t you agree?
Winnipeg Mardi Gras is a must attend event every year! You are literally transported to ‘Nawlins when you enter the hall. Throughout the entire venue, you will see numerous authentic New Orleans fare, whether it’s the food, music or the “street performers”. I distinctly remember seeing a woman on a gigantic mechanical walking tiger, and a few living statues, it was wild!
Media Preview 2015 – A Taste of Winnipeg Mardi Gras
I was very excited to be invited to attend the Taste of Mardi Gras for a second year in a row. However, I was not as adventurous as last year, remember this?
This year, I wasn’t able to attend for the entire evening so I took it easy and sampled only a couple of amazing dishes, but let me tell you, you do not want to miss the menu this year!
