Week 1 Water Challenge with #CarlsCrew #CommitToFit #giveaway

Are you ready to take part in a 6 week healthy challenge with me?

Over the past few weeks I’ve shared that I will be participating in the Subway Canada #CommitToFit challenge for 6 weeks. This challenge includes 18 other bloggers/online friends from across the country!

The challenge is really about changing to a healthier lifestyle which includes the food we eat and the physical activities we participate in.

I’ve definitely gotten better at eating more healthy foods and removing unhealthy ones, however, I know that I still have a lot more work to do in order to get to my healthiest me. Let’s not forget #FabFit40in2015 – it’s my hashtag of the year haha!

Today is the start of week one – the Water challenge!

This may be my toughest week because I wasn’t always a water drinker. Yes, it’s true! When I was younger I didn’t want to drink water, it had no “flavour”. Fast forward to my older years and thankfully I recognized the importance of water in my daily habits.

Every day I strive to drink, at a minimum, the equivalent of four (4) 500ml bottles of water. Years ago I’d be lucky to drink even 1! I make sure I have water on my desk, in my car and in my purse throughout my busy day so that there are no excuses!

To have you join in on the challenge fun, each week of the challenge I will be giving away a $25 Subway gift card! Are you ready to start? Enter below!

GIVEAWAY TIME!

Share your best tip on how to increase one’s daily water intake.

Stay tuned for next week’s challenge and thank you so much for your support!

  1. Have a cup before and after meals. that would be 6 cups a day, and then also have a couple cups during the day when you’re thirsty

  2. Keep a water bottle beside you, less temptation to drink something else when you have access to water right near you

  3. add lemon for flavour, put elastic bands around your bottle and take one off each time you refill to help keep track

  4. Put a full jug of water in the fridge before going to sleep at night to enjoy the next day. Make sure it’s empty at the end of the day before refilling it for the next day.

  5. I always have a brita jug of water in my fridge, and drink it daily,it just comes to me to drink water,as I have always drank it,and love water!

  6. Drinking more water is something I have issues with, I find if I keep a water bottle with me at all times than I am more likely to drink it.

  7. My tip is to carry a reusable water bottle with you at all times. If the water is ready and available you are more likely to drink it.

  8. I put a pitcher of water in the fridge with a bunch of fruit in it! not only does it taste good but i tend to drink more that way.

  9. have a pitcher full or in a water bottle ready in the fridge, easy to grab for on the go… We also have a water cooler.

  10. i have a huge reusable water bottle and i keep it full all day with lemons in it and drink at it all day

  11. I am also guilty of not drinking enough water- I bought myself an eye-catching insulated water bottle with a sippy-cup style spout – I love how it looks and it’s easy to drink from so I do get more water now!

  12. I always add lemon to my water. I love the little taste of it. Other people like my mom who does not like water buys flavor packets to add to it

  13. Jennifer Veenstra

My tip is whenever you think of water drink not when you’re thirsty just as soon as it pops in your head drink!

  14. Having a pitcher of cold water in the fridge helps – even better, add lemon, cucumber, orange slices to your liking to flavour the water, to make it more appealing.

  15. I gave up pop along time ago so and that helps. I drink a big glass of water as soon as I wake up and I drink a glass of water before I eat and I always carry water with me when I go out
