A Road Trip I’d Love To Take

Bloganuary Day 2

Today’s prompt: What is a road trip you would love to take?

I gotta say, I don’t think I’m made for long road trips. the thought of travelling for 12-14 hours in car does not excite me haha. However, I guess that all depends on the scenery (and perhaps the vehicle).

I live right smack in the middle of Canada, in the beautiful province of Manitoba, on the prairies. Yes, the prairies, rolling flat fields that are beautiful to look at for maybe a few hours but for more than that? I just don’t have the stamina! Maybe it’s because I’ve lived here all my life? Or maybe it’s because I’m getting older, who knows?

I’ve gone on many different road trips. When I was a single mom, every single summer vacation, I would drive from Winnipeg to Minneapolis and my daughters loved it. We have so many great memories from that time period! We may have even dodged a tornado but that’s a story for another day.

My Dream Road Trip

There are a couple of dream road trips I’d love to plan and take, and the one I’ve thought about the most is driving all along the coast of California. Ocean on one side of me, and a variety of landscapes on the other side. Not to mention the nicer weather!

With all that’s been going on in the world, I truly hope that it’s a dream I can make true.

Over to you!

What’s your dream road trip?

P.S. This is my first actual post of the Bloganuary challenge! I am very much looking forward to the daily prompts to get my brain back to making my blog my first priority, but most of all, I’m excited for the consistency and getting back to the passion I started 10 years ago.

  1. Cool for me to read. I live east of Winnipeg, have a blog and I am doing the Bloganuary challenge as well! I coincidentally (?) read your entry on WordPress.com. You never know if it was shown to me as we are almost Neighbours, but it was still pretty cool. We did the California trip but I would suggest, if distance holds you back, to drive the Lake Superior North Shore. It is really awesome, too. Just wait till the summer 🙂
