Do you remember Paddington stories?
I’ll always remember reading Paddington Bear books when I was younger. Yes, I’m that old!
Recently, the Paddington movie hit theatres to great reviews. The Globe and Mail review gave it 3.5 stars out of 4.
From the beloved novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman (HARRY POTTER), PADDINGTON tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) who travels to the city in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says “Please look after this bear. Thank you,” and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.

I like that Paddington has lasted through the ages from when I was a small child til now. I can’t wait til I can see this.
Paddington Bear is a story and cartoon that was loved by my children. I love that Paddington had found his haven. This story makes me think about all the dogs in the humane society who are waiting for their forever homes.

I haven’t seen the movie yet, I won’t lie, but only because I was afraid that if it was bad it would forever taint the loveable bear in my memory from the books. But seeing how many people have enjoyed it, I will have to go! 🙂
